How did it all start?
As newlyweds, my husband and I moved to England. During our time abroad we learned to live with less in small spaces and how important organization is.
When we moved back to the States, we began working our way out of debt. As a housewife, I felt my contribution was to stretch my husband’s income as far as it could go. That included finding creatively practical ways to live on a strict budget. We were trying our best to be mindful of our resources.
Life experiences have given me the opportunity to gain organization skills and taught me to recognize that clutter in any form inhibits productivity, hinders efficiency, wastes money, and steals peace.
Why Pary Moppins?
For many years I chronicled our family’s life on the frugal living blog parymoppins.net. As a fan of Julie Andrews and her impeccable performance as the famous nanny of Cherry Tree Lane, I adore the scene when she measures herself as “practically perfect in every way”.
Practically perfect is quite the standard. I felt I measured closer to perfectly practical. What the beloved character and I do have in common is that we try to make the best out of any situation. I guess that makes her perfectly practical too.
My hope is for you to be at peace in your home, enjoy your space, and love the life you live.
Don’t hesitate to call if there is anything I can do to bring more peace to your space!
